Pacific Palisades Board of Directors Meeting

"Draft" Agenda - Aug. 15, 2026 @ 10 AM

 

  • Confirm quorum of the PPHA BOD Meeting for August 15, 2026.

  • As required, notice of the date, time and place of this meeting and the virtual link is posted on the PPHA’s website on the calendar of events in advance so members can attend virtually if they so choose.   

  • Approve the Minutes for the May 16, 2026 Board Meeting.

  • Approve the Agenda for the August 15, 2026 Board Meeting.

 

Old Business-

Treasurer’s Report -

Treasures report for status of dues collected thus far received. And the answer to the question regarding the ability of increasing the Certificate Account “Reserve” balance in order to have the needed reserve account to be in compliance.

 

President’s Report -

  • Draft copy of the PPHA BOD / Owner Handbook has been routed to all owners in softcopy and those without an email address on file a hardcopy was mailed. Expecting feedback and questions from owners. Needed to complete the Handbook to final it in time for the Annual General Meeting in November.

 

  • Reserve Study was approved by the PPHA BOD and a softcopy was routed to all owners with an email address on file those without an email address on file a hardcopy was mailed. Continuing the discussion regarding the Reserve Study and weather we should go ahead and meet the 70% or opt to pursue 100% reserve status? The general mood was to first achieve 70%/100%. And discuss other directions after this is attained.

 

  • We are in dire need of a secretary to perform the duties. Especially taking of minutes as it’s very difficult to do so when you’re managing the meeting itself.

 

  • BOD approval of cleaning and staining of the beach access stairs will be completed by vendors. Update on how it's going

 

  • We need to find a good long-term storage location for the HOA’s Picnic supplies and BBQ. The idea previously posed was renting a small storage unit nearby?

  • Additionally, I’ve received interest from a few owners in being on the board. I’m hopeful this materializes. Because without a secretary and additional board members the board needs to get input from owners on alternatives. As I mentioned at the last HOA BOD meeting, I would ask to do a limited survey of 2-3 questions from all owners needing their responses.

 

Communication Committee -

Items needed for future Newsletters. If you have any items for the newsletter, please forward them. To Debbie Carrillo dlcsrc60@gmail.com.

 

Picnic Committee -

Needing community volunteers to assist with coordination. Needing of a canopy and tables. We will be serving hamburgers/hot dogs and providing beverages.

 

Elections Committee -

1 ~ 2 more board members volunteers are still needed. And we are in need of a board secretary. The person wouldn’t need to serve as a board member. It would be an option if this person didn’t also serve on the board, as we have a limited board members and information needs to be routed to each board member via the secretary, we currently only meet 4x a year. Our outgoing secretary has prepared an outline of the typical tasks the secretary is responsible for this outline is available upon request. Nomination form is available on the HOA website.
